International Women's Day 2024

On International Women's Day, the team from our learning center visited a total of 1,560 girls and women. First, they went to the secondary school and handed out parcels containing school supplies and feminine hygiene products to over 700 schoolgirls. In the afternoon, they visited more than 800 women in the streets of the poor district and brought them food parcels. In the days leading up to the event, the team prepared for the day in workshops with many other women: How do we encourage women? How can we connect the women in a network so that they can go shopping together and find a better way to earn money?

This empowerment and practical support are our major goals for all women in the slums. In this network, we want to train them to set themselves goals, plan financially and achieve independence through training. We need all the support we can get.
